Flights
Vietnam has three major International airports ie – Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang.
There are no direct flights from India to Vietnam, but it is well connected by many budget airlines such as Scoot Airlines, Thai Air Asia and Silk air to name a few.
Tip 1:- Scoot airline is cheapest airline to fly to Vietnam from India, but make sure that you check the visa requirements as most nationals would require Transit visa for Singapore.
Tip 2:- Flight tickets from India to Ho chi Minh City is cheaper as opposed to the flight tickets to the other cities in Vietnam because of the distance, but make sure you book a one way to ticket to Ho chi Minh City and fly out from Hanoi ie the north of Vietnam, that way you do not need to come back to the same city to fly back.
Visa
A Vietnam travel agency will help Indian passport holders to get Vietnam Visa On Arrival letter at Vietnam immigration department, which needs to be printed out and brought together with original passports, 45USD cash, 02 photos (4x6cm).
These documents ( ie the Visa approval letter, Passport and the Photographs) needs to be submitted at the Vietnam international airport counter to get visa stamp.

Applying for a Vietnam Visa online is a convenient and easy four-step process:
1. Fill out the online application form. You will be required to enter your name, passport number, date of birth, nationality, gender and arrival date.
2. After confirming that all the information has been entered accurately, you will need to pay online using a major credit card like Visa, MasterCard or American Express. For Indian nationals, a single-entry visa costs $25 and a multiple entry visa costs $50.
3. Your visa request will begin to get processed upon submission of your Vietnam Visa application and payment. You will get an Approval Letter via email within two business days, which you will need to print and carry with you to Vietnam.
4. On arrival at one of the Vietnam international airports in Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City, you will need to show your Approval Letter, passport, two passport-size photos (4cm x 6cm) and cash payment for the Stamping Fee to the Immigration Officer who will then stamp the Vietnam Visa in your passport.
