Things to do before turning 30-A travel bucketlist!

As they say, for great encounters, Wild journeys and feasts to remember, travel solo!
I started traveling solo, when I was 17. In my 20s, I have had the privilege of traveling to a few countries.
I have had so many unique and life-changing experiences that make for some of my incredible memories.
Here are some of them:

Backpack Across Europe

I had the chance of traveling to Europe for the first time three years back. My first stop was Paris, I had desired only to understand what the fuss was all about. I had packed plenty of skepticism that any modern metropolis could have such undiluted charms. This perfumed city is full of promises and it is Serendipitous sure enough.
In this trip I did Germany, Czech Republic along with France and this is where i realized the importance of staying and absorbing a place for long.
I learnt important travel skills like how to use the local transportation, travel on a budget and manage in a place where you are completely oblivious to the language and culture and still feel like you belong.

Go to a Carnival

The biggest carnival in the world-is truly a spectacle not be missed. Rio's Carnival is nothing short of Electrifying. Even more exhilarating are the deliciously bronzed and toned samba dancers and the pulsating samba music.

I had the chance of attending the carnival in different neighborhoods of Brazil, and it was the best way of sharing the smiles and the energy of the locals.

Visit the New Wonders of the World

New7Wonders of the World was a campaign started in 2000 to choose Wonders of the World from a selection of 200 existing monuments. Though I havent visited all seven, I was incredibly lucky to visit 5 of them.

These are the crowning architectural achievements of their respective countries.

Visit the Ancient Wonder of the World

The Great Pyramids, located at Giza on the west bank of the Nile River north of Cairo, are the only wonder of the ancient world that has survived to the present day. Furthermore, it is possible that it still continues to inspire and be celebrated as the remarkable products of the creativity and skill of Earth’s early civilizations.

Volunteer Abroad

There are many ways of volunteering in a foreign land.  The idea of volunteering abroad or as part of a long term trip is something that appeals to many people. I have been a part of few volunteer programs in Egypt, Bhutan and Brazil and the combination of exploring a new destination and being able to help local people is fulfilling and empowering.

Relive the Silk Route Experience

The Silk Route was one long road that was used trade silk when first produced in China. Tashkent to this day remains one of the largest exporters of silk and Textiles. Samarkand with its majestic heritage is undoubtedly one of Central Asia's impressive showstoppers.

Vanquish a fear

I am one of those people who would choose beaches over Mountains any day. Though I love Tropical places, I was once aqua phobic, and would not dare enter the water. My first trip to Thailand I could not resist the emerald green water and i had to go in. I never thought I had the courage to do any underwater activities, but that day I joined a couple of fellow travelers and went for Underwater Sea-walking, and the experience was beyond magical!

Visit the farthest Continent

Visiting South America had been on my bucket list for a long time like everyone else's.

This continent is rightly known as the Continent of Superlatives as you can find-The world's biggest rainforest and the largest river (Amazon), the highest mountain range outside Asia (the Andes), heavenly beaches (such as in Brazil's Copacabana), wide deserts (Atacama), the world's tallest waterfall (Angel Falls) and one of the largest (Iguassu Falls)  as well as several other breathtaking natural attractions.

Go to a tribal festival

Picture this: You are going tribal home-hopping, watching a war dance in one home and a harvest dance in the next. In your hand is a bamboo mug, filled to the brim with rice beer brewed in these very homes.

This warm and exhilarating experience is a part of most itineraries while visiting any Tribal Festival.

Explore your own Country

Many of us are guilty of traveling the world, but not their own country. I was one of them. Though India is a huge country with so much see and explore, I have made it a point to go to a new town or City every now and then!
